About Rail Rush
Rail Rush is an original endless runner built for the browser. You control a young graffiti artist sprinting across a busy rail yard, switching between three tracks, leaping over barriers and sliding under warning signs while collecting every coin you can reach. The world is fully 3D, with a hand-built character, detailed trains and a city skyline that streams past as the pace slowly rises. There is nothing to install, and it runs smoothly on phones, tablets and computers.
How to play
- Press Play. On a phone or tablet swipe left or right to change track, swipe up to jump and swipe down to roll.
- On a keyboard use the arrow keys or A / D to switch tracks, W, Up or Space to jump and S or Down to roll.
- Avoid the front of trains, jump over low barriers and roll under high signs.
- Pick up the magnet to pull nearby coins in, and the star to double your score for a while.
Rules
- Distance
- Your score grows with every metre you run. The speed increases gradually, so the later stretches are the hardest.
- Trains
- Running into the front of a train ends the run. Brushing the side of a train knocks you back into your previous track.
- Barriers
- Low barriers must be jumped. High signs must be rolled under. You cannot jump over a high sign.
- Coins
- Coins are counted separately from distance and are shown on the results screen with your best score.
- Power-ups
- The magnet attracts coins from every track for about ten seconds. The star doubles score gain for the same time.
Tips
- Look two or three rows ahead rather than at your feet. The open track is always visible early.
- Rolling while in the air pulls you straight down, which is the fastest way to reach a sign you are about to hit.
- Change tracks early. A late switch into the side of a train costs you time and position.
- Coin lines usually trace the safest route through a section.
